House clearance after a death

If you are the executor, you are legally responsible for the person's money, property and possessions from the date of death until everything is passed on.

You need an estimate of the estate's value before you apply for probate. Note or value anything of worth before the house is cleared. If you are unsure, speak to the solicitor handling the estate first. This is general guidance, not legal advice.

Clearing a parent's or partner's home is hard. We go at your pace, take the time to understand what matters to you, and treat the home and its contents with respect.

We clear what you tell us to, and anything you want to keep stays where it is. Everything we take is sorted by hand. Good furniture and homeware gets a second life through the Kelham Flea shop, the rest is recycled where possible, and we leave the property broom-clean.

You don't need to travel to Sheffield. We collect the keys from the solicitor, estate agent or a neighbour, clear the property and return the keys.

Send photos on WhatsApp for a fixed price, and we keep you updated by phone or WhatsApp on the day.

We clear probate properties on contract for solicitors and estate agents across Sheffield and South Yorkshire, with one monthly invoice, keys collected and returned, and before and after photos with waste transfer notes for every trade job.
