Man and van rubbish removal
For a part load, a room's worth of junk or a few awkward items, our man and van service is the quickest way to clear it. You don't need to bag it, carry it downstairs or hire a skip.
We arrive at the agreed time, load everything from wherever it is, sweep up and drive it away.
Waste removal and disposal, done legally
The law makes you responsible for your waste even after someone takes it away. If a collector fly-tips it, it can be traced back to you. Sheffield City Council advises householders to check that anyone they pay is a registered waste carrier.
We are a registered waste carrier and every load goes to licensed sites. We sort what we collect by hand: good furniture and homeware gets a second life through the Kelham Flea shop, metals, wood, textiles and electricals are recycled, and only what is left goes to licensed disposal. Every clearance comes with a documented receipt for your records.
Usually cheaper than a skip
A skip on the road needs a council permit, sits outside for days and still leaves you to do all the lifting. Neighbours can fill it too.
With a man and van you pay once for the labour, loading, transport and disposal, and the rubbish is gone the same day.
What changes the price
Every quote is fixed and includes labour, loading, transport and licensed disposal. Four things set it:
Usually cheaper than a skip: there is no permit, no waiting for collection, and we do all the lifting and loading.
- Volume
- How much there is, measured in van loads.
- Access
- Stairs, lifts, parking and how far we carry to the van.
- Special items
- Fridges, freezers and mattresses need separate disposal.
- Timing
- Same-day and next-day jobs, when we can fit them in.
